A designated cat-only waiting room insures that our feline friends may avoid contact with dogs for a reduced stress ER visit.

10 exam rooms to provide a more efficient and timely emergency visit for your pet. Exam rooms for cats are separated from dogs to minimize unfamiliar odors that might put your pet ill at ease.

Our centrally located treatment area gives our expert team an unobstructed view of each hospitalization ward, both surgical suites and the entire treatment area simultaneously. The open design permits us to treat and handle multiple animals while preventing them from coming into close proximity with other animals.

Established in 1998, the Animal Emergency Hospital of the Strand is located on the south end of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
We are open every night of the year as well as around the clock on every major holiday and 24 hours on weekends. We communicate closely with your family veterinarian to insure that your loved one has access to top quality emergency services when your primary veterinarian may be closed.
